About the Position
Title: Gardener
Location: Western Suburbs of Melbourne / Geelong
Hours: Full-time
Commencement Date: Immediate start
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Gardenerwith a keen eye for detail to ensure gardens and open spaces in new and existing housing estates thrive year-round. With award winning projects in our portfolio, we are proud to have longstanding client partnerships, where we work on high profile sites providing regular programmed garden maintenance.
This position will suit candidates with 3+ years’ experience in horticulture or garden maintenance ensuring estates present exceptionally for the community to enjoy. Offering autonomous work within a tight-knit team, this position is ideal for a candidate who is comfortable with using technology to report daily achievements and complete regular maintenance service logs.
With room to grow and a variety of responsibilities, this position offers a chance to do a bit of everything!
Key Responsibilities
As a valued experienced Gardener you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- brush-cutting
- hedging
- weeding
- chemical spraying
- pruning
- planting
- mulching
- push-mowing
- general litter pick up
- monitoring flora health
- minor preventative maintenance on equipment and tools
- overall garden upkeep; keeping spaces clean and tidy
Position Requirements
To be successful in this position, candidates must have:
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Gardener with a solid understanding of plant care techniques
- Permanent Australian work rights
- Construction Induction Card (White/Red Card)
- Valid Victorian Driver's License (P Plate or Full License)
- ACUP (Chemical Usage Certification)
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- A positive attitude, great work standards, and easy-going personality to work as part of a team
Desired qualifications
- Certificate III or above in Horticulture or similar
- Traffic Management Certificate/s
- First Aid Certificate
