About Position:
Full time position on a successful, family owned farm with irrigation of winter/summer crops and cattle/sheep production based in Longreach, QLD.
This position is suitable for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is reliable and practical, and is willing to support the team where needed.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor irrigation systems, pumps and water infrastructure.
- Move and maintain irrigation equipment as required.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance as required on plant and equipment.
- Assist with routine servicing of irrigation.
- Assist with general property maintenance.
- Undertakes daily monitoring of crops for plant development and growth.
Skills and experience desirable:
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Current driver's licence.
- Previous irrigation or agricultural experience.
- Experience operating tractors, pumps and farm machinery.
- Basic mechanical and maintenance skills.
- Chemical handling accreditation or willingness to obtain.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
