Reporting to the Executive Director, Education Development, and working in a leadership capacity, this 12 months fixed term parental leave cover role is critical in providing educational expertise and operational oversight to review, develop and implement College initiatives relating to curricula, assessment development and learning resources including workshops and
eLearning.
Based at our Melbourne office, conveniently located close to public transport including a short 5-minute walk to the new Anzac Station, this role offers a flexible hybrid working environment to support work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development of training pathways, curricula, assessment development, workshops and supplementary learning resources, and eLearning following best practises including, development of business cases.
- Manage and report on budgetary requirements.
- Lead the transition to programmatic assessment.
- Lead the operational management of changes to educational materials.
- Develop, implement, and oversee the organisation’s learning strategy to align with educational and organisational goals.
- Provide leadership and line management for direct reports in the curriculum and Learning teams.
- Liaise with relevant external stakeholders, including practising O&G specialists and other specialist colleges, to ensure contemporary, best-practice concepts and structures are incorporated into curriculum, assessments development and learning and teaching resources.
- Lead the development and implementation strategies for continuous improvement of internal processes.
Ko wai koe | About you - Key Selection Criteria
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in curriculum development and documentation at the secondary, tertiary or postgraduate level or equivalent experience in identifying, planning and implementing improvements to address changing educational requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, implement and evaluate educational initiatives based on best practice, especially regarding curricula and training pathways.
- A strong interest in and the ability to grasp complex issues relating to medical education and women’s health.
- Demonstrated experience in management and/or the coordination of teams to achieve quality outcomes in defined timeframes, preferably in a medical/educational environment.
- Experience in supporting committees including preparation of agenda and drafting minutes.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, particularly in regard to report writing, correspondence and presentations and the ability to effectively document work performed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, individuals and groups, whilst maintaining positive relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks within strict timeframes.
- The ability to work without close supervision, as a member of a team; be enthusiastic and selfmotivated; contribute ideas and collaborate in their implementation.
- Expertise in the use of Windows-based PC applications with emphasis on database, word processing and spreadsheet software (MS Word and Excel preferred).
