About the Role
Coregas is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Operations team in Darra, QLD. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations while supporting business objectives and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical faults in fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and inspections to ensure fleet roadworthiness.
- Conduct repairs, component replacements, and root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide off-site mechanical support when required.
- Support operational activities, including loading consignments and transporting cylinders.
- Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and compliance records.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
- Provide technical support across site projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
The remuneration will be between $79,000 to $83,000 annual base + superannuation.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Automation.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within the gas industry.
- Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems and fleet maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace health, safety, and risk management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
