About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Settlements Officer to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and processing settlements efficiently while ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and service level agreements. You will work closely with customers, solicitors, brokers, financial institutions, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth and accurate settlement transactions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, banking or financial services experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and process settlement transactions accurately and within required timeframes.
- Prepare, review, and verify settlement documentation for completeness and compliance.
- Liaise with customers, solicitors, brokers, lenders, and internal teams to resolve settlement-related enquiries.
- Monitor settlement pipelines and proactively manage upcoming settlements.
- Identify and resolve settlement issues to minimise delays and operational risk.
- Complete post-settlement activities, including reconciliations and record updates.
- Maintain accurate customer and transaction records in internal systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Provide professional and timely customer service throughout the settlement process.

Skills and ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience in settlements, mortgage processing, loan administration, banking operations, or financial services.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

- Experience using banking or loan management systems.
