Job Description
At TAL, you'll play an important role in helping our business deliver on its strategic priorities and create better outcomes for our customers. Working at the intersection of law, business and purpose, you'll provide trusted guidance that helps stakeholders navigate complexity, understand risk and make informed decisions with confidence. In This Role You Will:

Provide strategic legal advice that enables confident business decisions and supports TAL's growth.

Guide the development and distribution of life insurance products while managing legal and regulatory risk.

Negotiate commercial arrangements that strengthen partnerships and deliver business value.

Protect TAL's interests across a range of corporate legal matters, including contracts and intellectual property.

Ensure customer communications and marketing activities meet regulatory and compliance expectations.
-
Influence business outcomes by identifying and responding to emerging regulatory developments.

Contribute to industry reform and advocacy efforts that shape the future of life insurance and superannuation.
Qualifications
-
Admitted legal practitioner with 5+ years' post qualification experience

Strong knowledge of financial services regulation, including life insurance and consumer protection frameworks

Excellent written communication and drafting skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues

Sound commercial judgement and a balanced approach to legal risk and business outcomes

Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and evolving environment

Collaborative, approachable style with a genuine commitment to knowledge sharing and team success

Curiosity, adaptability and a proactive approach to industry developments and continuous learning
