Wauchope High School is a comprehensive, co-educational secondary school proudly situated on Birpai Country in the Hastings Valley on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. Serving a vibrant rural community, the school has approximately 465 students, including 28% who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. The school is recognised for its inclusive culture, strong community partnerships and commitment to aspirational academic, vocational and personal pathways.
The school offers a broad, future-focused curriculum supporting pathways to university, vocational education, apprenticeships and employment. Strong Agriculture, Primary Industries and Hospitality programs are supported by a working farm, trade training centre and commercial kitchens, providing nationally recognised VET qualifications, practical learning and industry experience.
Wauchope High School has a proud tradition of sporting achievement and High Potential and Gifted Education opportunities. Its annual sporting exchange with Cumberland High School, spanning more than 50 years, remains an important tradition promoting teamwork, leadership and school pride.

1. Approval to teach Mathematics (Years 7-1 and demonstrated capacity to deliver high-quality Mathematics teaching across Years 7–12, using explicit teaching practices, effective assessment and data-informed strategies to improve student engagement, growth and achievement.
2. Demonstrated ability to differentiate Mathematics teaching to meet diverse learning needs, including strategies that support students requiring additional assistance and extend high potential and gifted students.
3. Highly developed communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to contribute positively to faculty and whole-school priorities and build strong relationships with students, colleagues, families and the wider school community.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
