ABOUT THE ROLE
Based at Whyalla Recreation Centre, you’ll keep pool users safe and be a visible, trusted presence in the community. This is a casual role with flexible shifts designed to fit around study or other commitments. As a Lifeguard at YMCA SA, you will be:
Supervising pool users actively to ensure safety at all times
Identifying risks and respond to incidents or emergencies promptly
Delivering first aid and emergency response when required
Promoting safe aquatic practices and positive patron behaviours
Maintaining pool operations, equipment setup, and safety compliance
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:
Pool Lifeguard certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Valid HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide CPR (or willingness to obtain)
RRHAN-EC Masterclass (or willingness to complete)
Strong communication skills and commitment to safety
