The Opportunity
We’re looking for a
Graduate Engineer to join our Research & Development (R&D) team in Rosehill, NSW.
Reporting to the Manager, Technology Development, you’ll support the delivery of engineering projects contributing to the design, fabrication and commissioning of experimental equipment while working alongside experienced engineers and scientists.
This is a hands-on opportunity to build foundational engineering capability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000 + super.
What you’ll do
- Develop mechanical concepts and engineering solutions to support research challenges
- Assist with the design, build, testing and commissioning of experimental units and equipment
- Support the planning and execution of trials on experimental lines
- Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers and vendors
- Prepare commissioning plans and validate equipment performance
- Track and report on project progress to key stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for innovation by staying across emerging technologies
- Work safely and contribute to our Zero Harm culture
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to solve problems from first principles
- Hands-on approach with an interest in prototyping and testing
- Ability to develop and interpret mechanical designs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering/design tools
