Disability Support Worker – Sleepover Support
Position: Casual Disability Support Worker – Sleepover
Experience Required: Hoist & Manual Handling Equipment
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide sleepover support to an NDIS participant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overnight sleepover support and ensure participant safety and comfort.
- Assist with hoist transfers and lifting equipment as required.
- Safely operate and maintain hoists and other manual handling equipment.
- Follow the participant’s manual handling and care plans.
- Assist with repositioning and personal care when required.
- Monitor the participant throughout the sleepover and respond appropriately to support needs.
- Complete shift notes and report any incidents or concerns.
- Maintain a safe, respectful and person-centred environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting people with complex physical support needs.
- Hands-on experience using hoists and lifting equipment.
- Good understanding of manual handling and safe transfer procedures.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check, where applicable.
- First Aid and CPR.
- Reliable, professional and compassionate approach.
- Ability to work overnight/sleepover shifts.
Desirable: Experience working with participants requiring regular repositioning, transfers and mobility assistance.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour
