CAER is responsible for
Managing accommodation, facilities, security, mail services and car parking across RSHQ sites
Overseeing building maintenance, fit-outs, relocations and property-related services
Managing the RSHQ vehicle fleet and capital asset portfolio
Leading strategic capital assets, accommodation and state planning initiatives
Managing significant capital projects for RSHQ, accommodation and explosive reserve operations.
Coordinating emergency response, business continuity and major organisational events
Delivering procurement services for accommodation and explosive reserve operations
Supporting Queensland's explosive reserves, including leasing and site management arrangements
Managing property valuations, insurance and related corporate asset functions
About the role
We are seeking an experienced project professional to lead and deliver complex accommodation, facilities and strategic projects across the state. This role is responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, including relocations, refurbishments and business improvement initiatives, while ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will provide strategic advice to senior leaders, oversee procurement and contract management activities, manage project resources and risks, and build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. A strong focus on customer service, collaboration and continuous improvement is essential, along with the ability to identify innovative solutions that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

You are a highly organised and results-driven project professional with experience in facilities, accommodation or related project environments. You have strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, are confident managing competing priorities, and bring expertise in procurement, contract management and financial oversight. With excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities, you thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to delivering practical, customer-focused outcomes.
