About the role
We are seeking an experienced Hotel or Motel Manager to join SAI SFS PTYLTD trading as Country 2 Coast Motor Inn in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of hotel or motel operations. As Hotel or Motel Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high operational standards, and driving profitability across all departments. This role is pivotal to the success of our property and requires a strategic leader who can oversee daily operations whilst maintaining our commitment to service excellence in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the hotel/motel.
- Oversee reception, reservations, guest check-in and check-out procedures.
- Supervise housekeeping, maintenance and front office operations.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and promptly resolve guest enquiries and complaints.
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate staff performance.
- Prepare staff rosters and coordinate daily operational activities.
- Monitor occupancy levels and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, purchasing and stock control.
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety requirements and relevant hospitality legislation.
- Maintain property presentation, cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure smooth business operations.
- Promote the business through online booking platforms and marketing initiatives.
- Prepare operational reports for management
What we're looking for
- AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Hotel Management or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant full-time experience in hotel, motel or accommodation management.
Applicants should also demonstrate
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience using hotel reservation/property management systems and channel manager software’s.
- Strong financial and budgeting skills.
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, including weekends and public holidays where required.
