About the opportunity
This role supports registered staff in the delivery of daily cares, inclusive of assisting patients with their personal care needs such as showering, toileting, shaving, oral hygiene, dressing and eating. Assisting patients with their mobility and communication needs. Following therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems.
PLEASE NOTE - This is a casual position.
Role requirements
Highly Desirable: Applicants who meet the following criteria are considered highly desirable:
Hold a relevant Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Service Assistant or equivalent
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Assist clients with activities of daily living and other tasks as delegated by the registered nurse/midwife.
Work effectively with clients, colleagues and the multidisciplinary team.
Effectively communicate information verbally and in writing.
Use or learn to use information systems appropriate to the position.
Willingness to undertake education as required by the role.

Home Hill Health Service is a 14-bed rural facility predominately providing aged care, rehabilitation and renal dialysis services to the local community. The renal satellite unit has eight chairs and operates three days a week with extra services when required.

Salary range: $43.81 - $47.97 p.h. (casual rate) (NG1-1)
