We are a small boutique residential building company specialising in high-quality custom homes and detailed architectural builds. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship, strong site organisation, and a high level of client satisfaction.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys running well-crafted residential projects from start to finish and working closely with a tight-knit team of trades and professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of residential construction sites from start through to handover
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and trades to ensure smooth sequencing of works
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of finish in line with architectural plans and specifications
- Maintain strict quality control across all stages of construction
- Ensure compliance with all WHS requirements, site safety standards, and relevant building codes
- Liaise closely with the Project Manager, builder, architects, engineers, and clients as required
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and engineering details, resolving site issues proactively
- Oversee site materials, deliveries, and procurement to avoid delays and maintain efficiency
- Monitor project timelines and proactively manage risks, delays, and variations
- Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox meetings, and subcontractor coordination meetings
- Maintain accurate site records including daily site diaries, checklists, and safety documentation
- Represent the company professionally on site, ensuring strong relationships with clients and trades
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in residential construction (custom or boutique builds preferred)
- Strong understanding of high-end residential construction methods and finishes
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings with confidence
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades
- Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset
- Trade background in carpentry or building highly regarded
- Current driver’s licence
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
