We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with NDIS experience who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of participants.
About the Role
You will provide occupational therapy services to NDIS participants in the community, including assessments, interventions, assistive technology recommendations and report writing. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of managing your own diary while receiving ongoing administrative support.
This position is ideal for Occupational Therapists looking to take on additional work alongside their existing caseload, as well as early-career Occupational Therapists looking to build their professional network and gain further experience within the NDIS sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs).
- Conduct Assistive Technology (AT) assessments and recommendations.
- Complete Home and Living, SIL and SDA assessments where appropriate.
- Prescribe equipment and home modifications.
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
- Prepare high-quality NDIS reports and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with participants, families, support coordinators and other health professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical records.
Essential Requirements
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with NDIS participants.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS, including funding, reporting requirements and best practice.
- Experience completing Functional Capacity Assessments and clinical reports.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
- Current ABN.
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working With Children Check.
- National Police Check.
