Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service (DYHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service committed to providing holistic, culturally safe primary health care and social and emotional wellbeing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive and administrative support to our Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Based within the Office of the CEO, this role will be responsible for ensuring the effective coordination of the CEO’s diary, meetings, communications, travel, documentation, stakeholder engagements and executive priorities. This is a highly trusted position requiring exceptional professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and cultural awareness. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Executive Management Team, Board members, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, Elders and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

A relevant qualification in Business Administration and/or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar senior administrative/executive support role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives, including coordinating meetings, agendas, minutes, reports and executive documentation.
- Highly developed organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with senior executives, Board members, community members and key stakeholders.
- Experience in report writing and document control.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint; Canva skills are desirable.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to work outside normal business hours from time to time, as required.

You will have a demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, communities, cultural protocols and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal people, together with the ability to engage respectfully and appropriately with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, Elders and stakeholders. You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to Aboriginal self-determination, cultural safety and the principles of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.

- Satisfactory National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months.
- Valid WA Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel between DYHS sites as required.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
