Medical Receptionist (Cosmetic Clinic | Part Time Casual + Bonus Structure)

About Us
Plumerian Aesthetics is an established cosmetic clinic expanding into a brand new clinic in Bentleigh East.
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and highly responsive Medical Receptionist to join our growing team. This role is initially being offered to provide coverage during a holiday leave period from 28 June to 2 August 2026, with strong potential for part time ongoing employment following this period.
This position would suit someone who enjoys working independently, has excellent communication skills, and has a genuine interest in the cosmetic and aesthetic industry.
The Role
This is a hybrid position combining both in clinic and remote responsibilities.
In Clinic Hours
Wednesday: 8:30am to 1:30pm
Friday: 8:30am to 2:00pm
Remote Responsibilities
In addition to rostered clinic hours, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Holding and monitoring the clinic mobile phone
- Responding to client enquiries via phone, SMS, email, and social media
- Confirming upcoming appointments
- Following up prospective clients and booking enquiries
- Liaising with clinic nurses regarding availability, schedule changes, and client questions
- Assisting with appointment rescheduling and managing last minute changes
- Communicating with clinic nurses regarding client enquiries, scheduling updates, and appointment availability
The role includes approximately 3 hours of paid remote administrative duties per week in addition to rostered clinic hours.
The successful applicant must be comfortable taking responsibility for the clinic phone and responding to client enquiries within a reasonable timeframe, including outside of rostered clinic hours when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Engaging with walk in enquiries and converting prospective clients into booked consultations
- Managing appointment bookings and confirmations
- Responding promptly and professionally to enquiries
- Following communication templates, booking protocols, and clinic procedures
- Building rapport with prospective clients and converting enquiries into appointments
- Supporting the smooth day to day operation of the clinic
- Maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism
Bonus Structure
In addition to your hourly rate, you will receive:
$20 commission for every new client you book who attends their first appointment and spends a minimum of $300 (This is the minimum cost of any treatment we currently offer).
This role rewards proactive communication, excellent customer service, and strong booking conversion skills.

- Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling client information
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in medical reception, cosmetic clinics, dental clinics, allied health, or customer service roles is highly regarded.
Knowledge of cosmetic treatments is a strong advantage, including:
- Wrinkle reduction treatments
- Dermal fillers
- Skin boosters
- Rejuran
- Profhilo
- Sculptra
- PRP
- Skin needling
This knowledge may come from previous employment within the industry or from personal experience receiving cosmetic treatments.
A strong understanding of these services will assist in answering common client questions and helping prospective clients select the most appropriate consultation or appointment.
Training
Paid training will be provided prior to commencement, including clinic systems, booking procedures, communication templates, and workflows.
