About the Role
We are looking for experienced and skilled High School Math Tutor to support students in Years 7–12. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, structured tutoring sessions that help students strengthen their mathematical knowledge, build confidence, and achieve academic success.
This role suits someone who is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping students understand concepts in alignment with the NSW Mathematics syllabus.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions for high school mathematics (Years 7–12).
- Break down complex mathematical concepts into clear, understandable explanations.
- Support students with classwork, homework, assessments, and exam preparation.
- Identify learning gaps and tailor lessons to meet individual student needs.
- Track student progress and communicate updates where appropriate.
- Create a positive, supportive learning environment that builds confidence.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality.
Skills & QualificationsRequired:
- Strong proficiency in high school mathematics up to Year 12.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly, patiently, and effectively.
- Reliable, organised, and committed to student success
- Working with Children Check WWCC up to date
Preferred:
- Qualified high school teacher, or currently teaching within the NSW Stage 4–6 Mathematics curriculum (preferred but not essential).
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience(Must)
- Studying or holding a degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
