- Record and communicate dietary requirements, allergies, accessibility needs and special requests.
- Identify VIPs, regular guests and special occasions to help create personalised experiences.
- Welcome and farewell guests warmly and professionally.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide an introduction to the Magma experience.
- Monitor table progress and communicate with the floor team to ensure tables are prepared promptly.
- Handle reservation concerns, delays and guest complaints calmly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate guest profiles and booking information.
- Ensure the entrance, host desk and waiting areas remain clean, organised and presentation-ready.
- Lead and coordinate daily food and beverage operations.
- Conduct pre-service briefings and communicate reservations, VIPs, dietary requirements and service priorities.
- Inspire, train and mentor the host and front-of-house teams.
- Maintain consistent standards of service, presentation and guest care.
- Support smooth communication between the host desk, floor team, bar and kitchen.
- Build genuine connections with guests and confidently manage feedback.

- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, RSA and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Support menu launches, special events and promotional activities.
- Assist management with sales reporting, staff performance and guest feedback.
- Help create a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
You are a confident and welcoming hospitality professional who understands that the guest experience begins before guests arrive. You combine excellent organisation with genuine warmth and remain composed when managing busy services, competing priorities and changing reservation demands.
You will bring:

- Strong knowledge of reservation management, table planning and service pacing.
- A genuine passion for food, wine, beverages and guest service.
- Excellent telephone manner and written and verbal communication skills.
