Pavoni Plus Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team across the a'Mare Italian Dining Precinct at Crown Sydney, home to a'Mare, Vista'Mare, and Pizza'Mare.
Working alongside the Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading and developing a high-performing team, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across one of Sydney's premier Italian dining destinations.
Essential Requirements
Full Australian working rights
Minimum 2 years' experience in a management or supervisory role within premium hospitality
Strong leadership and team development skills
Current NSW RSA Certificate
Fluent English with excellent communication skills
Exceptional grooming and presentation
Ability to remain calm and decisive in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
Experience with POS systems and restaurant reservations
Sound understanding of hospitality compliance and workplace health and safety
Preferred Requirements
Previous experience in premium or fine dining restaurants
Experience with SevenRooms or similar reservation platforms
Knowledge of Italian food, wine and hospitality
Italian language skills (advantageous)
Formal hospitality qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Support the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant
Lead, mentor and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service
Ensure service standards are consistently maintained across all shifts
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management
Manage guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally and efficiently
Assist with rostering, labour management and payroll accuracy
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service
Assist in achieving financial targets through effective labour, wage and cost control
Maintain compliance with Crown Sydney, food safety, RSA and workplace health and safety requirements
Foster a positive team culture focused on professionalism, accountability and genuine hospitality
