We’re looking for a proactive and skilled PR & Communications Specialist to join our team and play a key role in shaping how we show up to the world.
Reporting to the Head of Public Relations and Brand, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of public relations activity—bringing stories to life, building media relationships, and ensuring our communications are clear, consistent and compelling.
This is a hands-on role for a strong writer and communicator who thrives on turning complex information into engaging, audience-ready content.
As our PR & Communications Specialist, you’ll be responsible for executing media and communications activity that strengthens our profile and reputation.
You’ll work across media relations, content creation, social copy and external communications—collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to bring impactful stories to life.

Deliver day-to-day PR activity across proactive and reactive opportunities

Draft media releases, pitches, talking points and briefing materials

Identify and develop strong story angles that support brand and advocacy priorities

Build and maintain positive relationships with journalists and media contacts

Coordinate media opportunities, interviews and follow-up

Monitor coverage and contribute to reporting and insights

Write and manage weekly blog content and website stories

Create clear, engaging external communications across multiple channels

Translate complex information into accessible, audience-friendly content

Coordinate stakeholder-facing materials, case studies and FAQs

Ensure all content aligns with brand messaging and tone

Develop social media copy aligned to PR and communications activity

Support scheduling and coordination of posts

Repurpose media and content into engaging social formats

Assist with approvals and ensure accuracy and timeliness

Support advocacy, campaigns and external communications initiatives

Coordinate inputs from internal teams and subject matter experts

Contribute to reporting across PR, content, social and campaigns
You’re a confident communicator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can manage competing priorities with ease.
You bring:

3+ years’ experience in PR, communications, media or journalism

Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills

Experience drafting media materials and managing media engagement

A proven ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content

Experience across blogs, website content and social media

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
-
Sound judgement and an understanding of reputational risk
Desirable:

Experience in advocacy, community or purpose-led organisations

Familiarity with CMS platforms, Canva or social scheduling tools

Experience developing case studies or impact-driven storytelling
