Reporting to the Head of Operations, this full-time Software Engineer role is an exciting opportunity to join the innovative team at One World Courier PTY LTD in Maroochydore, QLD. As a Software Engineer, you will play a vital part in developing and maintaining the company's cutting-edge technology platforms that power their global courier services.
What you'll be doing
- Design, develop and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Continuously research and evaluate new technologies to improve existing systems and identify opportunities for innovation
- Mentor and share knowledge with junior team members to foster a culture of learning and growth
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with modern software development frameworks and tools (e.g., Git, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
