Join Our Team – Casual Retail Assistant

About the Role
This casual position supports our team during roster gaps, especially across Easter, Christmas and January.
Starting rate: $34.76/hr (21 yrs+, General Retail Award Level 1).
We follow the General Retail Award (MA000004), so junior rates also apply for employees under 21.
Availability
This role suits a student with prior work experience who can work:
- 3pm–6:30pm on weekdays
- 3–4 hour shifts on Saturdays
- Extra availability during Easter, Christmas and January
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- At least 1 year of work experience
- Retail experience (preferred)
- Good physical fitness and willingness to lift
- Confidence working alone, unsupervised, and handling store closing
- Comfortable with security tasks and end‑of‑day cash procedures
- Strong multitasking skills
- Good product knowledge and customer service ability
- Reliability, honesty and strong organisation
Your responsibilities include:
- Customer service
- Opening/closing the store
- Security checks and cash‑up
- Merchandising, fruit displays and quality checks
