About the Role
We require team members to work closely with the Head Chef to lead daily kitchen operations, support menu execution, and build a high-performing team. You'll play a key role in establishing systems, standards and culture from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities As Sous Chef
- Assist in leading, training, and mentoring the kitchen team
- Support menu development, costing, and seasonal updates
- Ensure consistent, high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Maintain strong kitchen organisation, cleanliness, and compliance
- Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
- Drive a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen culture
- Step into leadership in the Head Chef's absence
What We're Looking For In All Roles
- Proven experience
- Experience in high-volume, quality-driven kitchens
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for seasonal produce and modern cooking techniques
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- A calm, solutions-focused mindset under pressure
- Open to any work rights status, including Australian citizens, permanent residents, and valid visa holders
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a senior kitchen position
