Personal Care Worker – Full-Time (Complex & Palliative Care)
Full-Time | Community-Based Role | Monday to Friday (6 AM – 8 PM)
Pay: $40 – $65/hour + Penalty Rates + Bonuses
About the Role
Right at Home Macarthur Penrith is hiring experienced and compassionate Personal Care Workers for a full-time community-based role. If you’re passionate about supporting clients with complex and palliative care needs, and you're available Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, we’d love to hear from you.
As part of your role, you will provide in-home support and clinical care across a range of suburbs in Greater Western Sydney. Travel is a key component of this role, so having a reliable vehicle and local area knowledge is essential.
Service Area Coverage
You will be travelling to clients across the Blue Mountain LGA and surrounding suburbs, including:
- Katoomba , Wenworth Falls & Blackheath
- Penrith, South Penrith, Glenmore Park, Jamisontown, Emu Plains, Emu Heights
- Cambridge Park, Cambridge Gardens,
- Colyton, Oxley Park, Erskine Park, Orchard Hills, Castlereagh
- Mulgoa, Regentville, Leonay, Wallacia (part), Mount Vernon, Agnes Banks (part), Claremont Meadows, and Londonderry
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal and clinical care in clients’ homes
- Deliver palliative care and support for clients with complex needs
- Assist with mobility, meal prep, medication prompts, hygiene, and domestic tasks
- Monitor and report changes in client health and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with care teams
- Travel across assigned suburbs for scheduled visits
Schedule
- Full-time: Monday to Friday
- Required availability: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Some weekend/public holiday shifts may be offered (with penalty rates)
What You’ll Need
✅ Essential:
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support
- 1+ year experience in home care or community support
- Proven experience in complex or palliative care
- Valid First Aid & CPR certificate
- Australian Driver’s Licence & comprehensively insured car
- Smartphone for scheduling and communication
- National Police Check
- Fully COVID-19 vaccinated
✅ Desirable:
- Certificate III in Aged Care or related qualification
- Working With Children Check
- Advanced care skills or clinical care competencies
