AIR6500 is the RAAF’s $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked ‘system of systems’ that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.
Your responsibilities will include:
As an Inventory Assistant on AIR6500, you will contribute to the efficient management of inventory and warehouse operations. Key responsibilities include performing inventory counts, processing incoming and outgoing goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Other responsibilities include:

Support the conduct ofAIR6500 logistics activities in accordance with approved process and procedures under supervision;

Particpate in ensuring the provision of services including stock control, warehousing, distribution and logistics governance;

Monitor the coordination of inventory management duties for LMA or Customer owned equipment, including physical storage, stock counts, goods receipt, dispatch, issues and returns; &

Maintain the review of stock levels to ensure availability for program milestones.
About you:
To be successful it is essential you hold an open drivers license and that you demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Substantial experience within a fast-paced professional logistics and warehousing environment

Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills
-
Strong ability to work effectively as a team member or independently
-
Strong ability to identify possible problems and create opportunities for improvement
-
Demonstrate a clear understanding of WHS and its application in the workplace
-
The ability to travel interstate to support AIR6500 program requirements
Ideally you will hold a forklift license and hold qualifications in Warehousing, and have experience within a Defence environment using an ERP such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics Management Systems.
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
