About the role
As a Job Coach, you’ll support participants in the Workforce Australia program to move into sustainable employment through tailored, strengths-based coaching.
This is a dynamic, people-first role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with participants to understand their goals, address barriers, and connect them with real job opportunities - while also engaging with employers and community partners.
Key responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with participants through coaching and support
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored employment plans
- Deliver job readiness support (resumes, interviews, job search strategies)
- Actively engage employers to create placement opportunities
- Monitor participant progress and support them to meet mutual obligations (PBAS)
- Coordinate referrals to training and support services
- Provide post-placement support to ensure sustainable employment outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and meet compliance requirements
Achieve and exceed KPIs related to placements and outcomes

What we’re looking for

You will bring:
- Experience supporting people into employment or in a similar case management role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to engage and motivate people facing barriers
- Confidence handling challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
- Solid organisational and time management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Requirements:
- Current Driver’s Licence
- National Police Check
- Working With Children Check
Highly regarded:
- Certificate IV in Employment Services
- Knowledge of the local labour market and support services
