Production & Packing

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Production & Packing worker to join our organic spices manufacturing business. You’ll start initially on a contract basis.
This role is based at our Hornsby warehouse on weekdays and may include Saturdays at the marketing event where you’ll help with stall setup and sales.
This role is not suitable for those seeking weekend-only work, requiring work visa or with no prior food production experience.
What you’ll do
- Food production including weighing, blending, roasting, grinding, packing.
- Operate small-scale production equipments safely and efficiently.
- Pack, seal, and label finished products.
- General warehouse duties including stock movement and cleaning.
- Follow production schedule, safe manual handling, food safety, health and hygiene procedures.
- Clean, wash and sanitise production and warehouse area
What we’re looking for
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Comfortable working with strong spices and herbs
- Ability to lift 20kg bags and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to details and ability to follow procedures carefully.
- Available weekdays and Saturdays (28- 35 hrs total).
- Interest in food, markets, or organics.
- Your current ABN.
- Food hygiene & handling certificate or willingness to obtain prior to start.
Desirable: Prior experience in spices, tea and oil production, product packing and interest in cooking.
Pay & Conditions
- In line with the Food, Beverage & Tobacco Manufacturing Award (MA000073).

- High School (Year 12) (Required)
Experience:
- Food production : 1 year (Preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Current ABN (Required)
- Certificate in basic food handling or hygiene (Preferred)
