About the Opportunity
ASC is seeking an Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Specialist to support the delivery of the SSN AUKUS Build Program. This role represents a rare opportunity to be involved at the inception of the largest defence program in Australian history and contribute to building Australia’s sovereign capability.
The AIC Specialist will support ASC in meeting its obligations to maximise Australian industry participation across submarine programs. Working within the supply chain team, you will assist with AIC planning, reporting, and supplier engagement activities.
As the program evolves, this role will provide opportunities to develop your commercial, contracting, and stakeholder engagement experience within a complex national program.
This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.
Responsibilities
- Support development and updates to the SSN AUKUS AIC Plan and related deliverables
- Assist in reviewing AIC requirements within subcontractor and supplier activities
- Contribute to reporting of Australian Industry Capability and Australian Contract Expenditure (ACE)
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather data and support program reporting
- Help communicate AIC requirements to suppliers and support evaluation activities
- Contribute to initiatives that support SME and Indigenous supplier participation
About you
- Interest in working on a major national defence program and contributing to sovereign capability
- Qualification (or working towards) in commerce, business, supply chain, law, or a related field
- Experience or exposure to commercial, contracting, procurement, or supply chain environments
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams
- An understanding of the Australian defence industry or government frameworks is desirable but not essential

Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
