The Opportunity:
We're growing the team and looking for
Orchard Technicians to support the sustainable growth and production of our Almond Orchards. Based at orchards in the Sunraysia region, VIC (located near Robinvale, Swan Hill and Mildura), you would work closely with all teams on our orchards and have the responsibility for day-to-day operations.
This hands-on role is a great opportunity for someone interested in farming to be coached by experienced leaders and get involved maintaining the farm and crop harvest using our world class almonds that end up on shelves in Coles, Woolworths and Aldi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate multitasking abilities in the operation of different equipment.
- Operate orchard machinery, always ensuring it is safely and correctly set up nd work without causing damage to the equipment, the environment and to the team.
- Assist in general orchard duties including operating irrigation & fertigation system appropriately & complete pruning activity as required to enhance future yield.
- Ensure orchard hygiene and identify trees affected by disease & guarantee the environment protection through the correct use of pest and disease spray.
What We're Looking For:
- People passionate about farming and sustainability.
- People with a strong safety and teamwork mindset, that are eager to learn new skills.
- Previous experience in farming is not required, however agricultural qualifications will be highly regarded.
