About the Role
We are working with a growing building business in the Greater Sydney region seeking to add an experienced Draftsperson to their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce detailed construction drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Manage the full documentation lifecycle from concept through to council lodgement and construction issue
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards and NCC/BCA requirements
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers and external consultants on design changes
- Respond to revision requests accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist in the preparation of planning and development application documentation
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in a drafting role within the building or construction industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
- Proficiency in SketchUp is desired
- Sound knowledge of the NCC and Australian Standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in Drafting, Building Design or a related discipline
- Experience with Revit or other BIM software
- Familiarity with NSW council lodgement processes
