H&M is a well-established and growing automotive workshop specialising in mechanical repairs, servicing, diagnostics, tyres, suspension upgrades, and general automotive work. We are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our team, manage daily workshop operations, and help maintain our reputation for quality workmanship and reliable service.
This role is ideal for someone who has a strong background in the automotive industry, understands how a busy workshop operates, and can confidently manage technicians, customers, suppliers, job scheduling, quality control, and overall workflow.
The Role
As the Automotive Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop and ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the daily workflow of the workshop, including job allocation, scheduling, and technician productivity.
- Supervising mechanics, tyre fitters, accessory installers, and other workshop staff.
- Ensuring all vehicle repairs, servicing, diagnostics, and accessory installations are completed to a high standard.
- Liaising with customers, providing quotes, explaining repairs, and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Managing job cards, invoices, parts ordering, supplier communication, and workshop documentation.
- Conducting quality checks on completed work before vehicles are returned to customers.
- Assisting with diagnostics, technical advice, and problem-solving where required.
- Ensuring the workshop remains clean, safe, organised, and compliant with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Monitoring staff performance, training needs, and overall workshop efficiency.
- Managing stock levels, tools, equipment, and parts availability.
- Helping the business improve systems, processes, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability.
- Handling customer concerns or complaints professionally and finding practical solutions.
- Ensuring vehicles are completed on time and customers are kept updated throughout the repair process.
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
