What’s the role?
Our Personal Banking Specialist roles at Westpac are senior positions within our branch network that will see you proactively engage with customers in-person and over the phone to uncover their financial needs. Utilising your expertise in Westpac’s suite of banking products, you will assist customers in achieving their financial goals by recommending the most appropriate products for their individual needs, referring them to our specialist banking teams such as Home Loans and Business Banking when needed. This rewarding role blends sales and customer service and holds accountability for sales and referral targets – all with an uncompromising commitment to empowering our customers to make the most of their money. Additionally, this role will afford you the opportunity of being second in-charge during Bank Manager leave - meaning it is perfect for those looking towards a future career in leadership!
This is a full-time, branch-based role and the hours are across and inclusive of Monday to Friday.
What do I need?
- Superior experience in a customer-facing / phone-based sales role
- Proven experience of exceeding performance KPIs with an uncompromising commitment to delivering an exceptional customer service
- Resilience , tenacity , and an ability to flex – no two days and no two customers are ever the same!
- Banking experience is ideal, but not essential – your high-performer energy and unique ability to gauge and nurture strong customer relationships will be key to driving your success
- Comfortable when working with numbers and adept at navigating multiple systems
