About the Opportunity
Based in Cairns, the Production Coordinator will be accountable for ensuring Supervisors and Contractors are provided with and understand a clear plan to deliver on their responsibilities, outlining specific time frames and quality standards required to deliver work scopes to schedule, cost and quality targets. Coordinators are required to work collaboratively with the Supervisors to allow them to provide deliverables to schedule, in full, to quality and to budget, all in a safe working environment.

What’s Involved

Plan daily and weekly task requirements for allocated project

Identify potential risks or constraints that will impact task delivery and ensure key stakeholders are consulted.
- Timely escalation and collaborative management of issues/risks/constraints
- Assist in the compiling and submission of OQE as required.

Monitor execution of procedures and provide feedback to the QA department to ensure procedures are relevant to tasks being performed.

Coordination of subcontractors including requesting quotations, raising PO's and ensuring works are conducted according to task specifications.
- Conduct employee performance reviews and counselling.

Promote and implement continual improvement initiatives through identification and implementation of improvements opportunities and or corrective actions.

You’ll Need
- Relevant Trade Qualification
-
Project management or supervisor experience
-
Developed and practical Leadership skills, e.g. strong interpersonal skills, people management and communication skills, development and coaching of others
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office products and commercial CMMS packages.
- Strong time management, resource planning and scheduling skills.

Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance and a Defence Common Access Card (DCAC).

Marine / ship repair experience (desirable)
