We are currently seeking a passionate, experienced and motivated Centre Manager to lead our team, oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, manage enrolments and help drive the continued growth of our centre.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong early childhood leader who enjoys working closely with educators, children and families and wants to make a genuine impact within a close-knit service.
About the Role
As the Centre Manager, you will provide strong leadership and operational oversight while working collaboratively with our educators and families. Approximately 25%–50% of your time will be spent on the floor, supporting your team, maintaining visibility and ensuring high-quality practices across the service.
A key focus of this role will be supporting the growth of the centre through enrolments, family tours, relationship building and strategies to increase occupancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support a team of dedicated educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
- Spend approximately 25%–50% of your time on the floor, assisting and supporting educators when required.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS) and relevant legislation and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community.
- Oversee enquiries, enrolments, family tours and the family onboarding process.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to increase enrolment numbers and occupancy.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system, policies and legislative requirements.
- Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, communication and continuous improvement.
- Support educators with professional development, performance and ongoing improvement.
- Monitor centre performance and work towards agreed growth and occupancy targets.
- Maintain a high standard of service quality, compliance and family satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
- A Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Proven leadership experience within an early learning service, ideally as a Centre Manager, Centre Director, Assistant Director or similar leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard, EYLF and CCS system.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing enrolments, family enquiries and centre tours.
- A proactive approach to increasing occupancy and promoting the service within the local community.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to lead with confidence while maintaining a warm, approachable and supportive leadership style.
