About the Role
As Communications Manager, you will help shape and deliver communications for PACT (People, Accountability, Customers and Trust), ANZ’s enterprise-wide program focused on strengthening accountability, risk culture and customer outcomes across the bank. Working closely with senior leaders and program stakeholders, you will develop and execute clear, engaging and aligned communications that help employees understand, engage with and embed change across the organisation.
You will support the delivery of the bank’s strategic priorities by translating complex change into simple, compelling narratives that explain the purpose, progress and outcomes of the PACT program, and how this work contributes to ANZ’s broader strategy. You will play a key role in coordinating communications, learning and engagement activities across the program, ensuring initiatives are well planned, delivered consistently and executed effectively. The role requires strong stakeholder management, sound judgement and the ability to drive communications outcomes in a large-scale transformation environment.
This role is accountable for:
Working with senior leaders and business stakeholders to plan and deliver a range of internal and external communication initiatives.
Leading the delivery of innovative, targeted communications among key internal audiences including development of content for packages and program updates.
Producing high-quality leader communications including messaging, talking points and supporting briefing material.
Planning, identifying opportunities and developing innovative content with subject matter experts for ANZ’s owned channels.

Work Hours: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week) What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for:
Working collaboratively with fellow Communications and Public Affairs team members and stakeholders of the broader PACT program to plan, deliver and/or oversee key communication plans.
Using feedback, research, analytics, surveys and other data to extract key insights to continuously improve communication and inform future communications plans.
Developing innovative approaches to engage employees and deliver relevant, high-impact and effective communications.
Tracking and reporting on the progress of communication activities and their impact, providing updates and reports to key stakeholders, executives and regulators as required.
Maintaining accurate records of communication activities, approvals and stakeholder feedback to support transparency and regulatory reporting.
The ‘good to have’ KSE the role requires are:
More than 10 years of experience in the same and similar fields, e.g., communications, PR, journalism and media
A problem solver – you are energised by tackling complex problems and using critical thinking, your network, skills, knowledge, and available data to drive better outcomes.
Experience delivering high impact communication campaigns for internal or external audiences.
Demonstrated growth mindset and/or how to bring it out in others.
Skills in video production (including filming, editing and transcription) and creative design and execution.
Experience in webcast production, employee communications management platforms (e.g Staffbase), collaboration apps (e.g Teams) and social networking tools (e.g Viva Engage).

Excellent writer and editor: can write in multiple styles and for a broad range of channels and situations.

Broadens perspective: curious about new information, new ideas and diverse perspectives. Continually develops understanding of ANZ’s business, financial services industry and best practices in communications.
Qualifications
Bachelor or Masters degree in communications, public relations, journalism or similar.
