Prime Rehab is seeking a reliable, friendly and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing support to a man living with a physical disability at his residence in Preston, VIC 3072.
This is an ongoing casual position for one full day per week on Wednesdays, commencing Wednesday 2 September, from 9:00am–5:00pm.
The role involves providing personalised one-on-one support with daily activities, community access and maintaining independence. The successful applicant will become an important part of the participant's ongoing support team and should be someone who is reliable, patient and genuinely enjoys building a positive working relationship with the person they support.
About the Role
You will provide one-on-one support primarily at the participant's home in Preston, assisting him with his individual needs, daily activities and community participation.
Shift details:
- Wednesdays, approximately 9:00am–5:00pm
- 8 hours per week
- Ongoing casual position
- Commencing Wednesday 2 September
- Preston, VIC 3072 – participant's residence
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing assistance with daily living activities
- Supporting the participant to access the community and participate in activities
- Assistance with mobility and physical tasks where required
- Supporting independence and encouraging active participation
- Following established routines and support strategies
- Providing friendly social interaction and companionship
- Assisting with errands and appointments where required
- Working collaboratively with the participant's broader support team
- Providing consistent and reliable support throughout the shift

A support worker with experience in disability, neurological conditions, rehabilitation, allied health or aged care would be highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working rights in Australia
- Ability to commit to the ongoing Wednesday shift
- Reliable and professional approach to work
Desirable
- Experience supporting people with physical disabilities or neurological conditions
- Experience with mobility assistance
- Experience working alongside allied health professionals
- Qualifications or studies in Disability Support, Allied Health Assistance, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology or a related field
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
