Retail Supervisor

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 plus Superannuation
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily retail operations, ensuring excellent customer service standards, managing staff performance, and maintaining efficient stock and merchandising practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure customers receive prompt, professional service and quality products.
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints regarding products and services.
- Plan and prepare staff rosters and allocate duties to team members.
- Supervise, train, and support retail staff to maintain high performance standards.
- Assist with recruitment, induction, performance evaluation, and staff development.
- Provide guidance to staff in handling complex customer service and sales situations.
- Manage returned products and determine appropriate resolutions in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct stocktakes, and order stock as required.
- Ensure products are correctly priced, labelled, and displayed to maximise sales opportunities.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and store presentation.
- Enforce workplace health and safety policies, security procedures, and company operational standards.
- Monitor daily store operations and contribute to achieving sales and customer service targets.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 1 years of experience in a retail supervisory or retail management position.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience in staff supervision, training, and performance management.
- Experience with stock control, inventory management, and merchandising.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail operations.
