Vineyard Vet Hospital is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team and help guide our nursing department with confidence, care, and enthusiasm. This role will be fixed-term contract til March with potential future opportunities available.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior nurse who enjoys supporting others, creating a positive team culture, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. You will play a key role in mentoring our nursing team, developing clinical standards, and helping our hospital continue to provide exceptional care to pets and their families.
About the role:

Lead, support, and inspire our veterinary nursing team

Mentor nurses and encourage professional growth

Oversee day-to-day nursing operations and workflows

Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical excellence

Assist with team development, training, and continuous improvement

Work collaboratively with veterinarians and the wider hospital team
About you:

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)

Previous experience in a senior veterinary nursing or leadership role

A natural ability to motivate, support, and communicate with a team

Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach

A genuine passion for animal welfare and exceptional client care
