ABOUT THE ROLE
This role involves leading and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection & Detection (MEPF) building services throughout all phases of a construction project. The successful candidate will ensure design integrity, manage quality assurance, mitigate risks, and drive value engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise design and project teams during meetings and workshops to ensure seamless service integration.
- Review drawings, specifications, installation plans, and equipment to meet project requirements.
- Inspect subcontractor work at milestones to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Coordinate temporary services and manage energising/de-energising procedures.
- Address RFIs and liaise with authorities during site inspections.
- Support tender evaluations, focusing on service coordination and value.
- Contribute to construction programming to optimise workflow and minimise conflicts.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and assist with defect resolution and plan sealing.
- Comply with and ensure safe work practices are carried out in accordance with all legislative requirements, Mosaic Construction’s HSE systems, policies and procedures.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience as a Services Manager on large scale multi-level residential or commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of building services systems – mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection & detection.
- Tertiary qualifications in Building Services/ Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication – strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and driven to grow and develop.
