We are currently seeking a reliable, confident and compassionate Support Worker to provide ongoing support to an aged care client located in Guildford, Western Sydney.
About the Role
This role is primarily focused on social support, community access and domestic assistance. We are looking for someone who is confident working independently and can provide reliable, consistent support.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Accompanying the client to appointments
- Assisting with shopping and errands
- Providing transport and community access
- Social support and companionship
- Domestic assistance and general household cleaning
- Supporting the client to maintain independence in the community
- Following the client's individual care plan
- Completing accurate progress notes and documentation
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- A confident driver with a valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Confident providing domestic assistance and household cleaning
- Comfortable accompanying clients to appointments, shopping and community activities
- Compassionate, patient and respectful
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to communicate confidently with clients
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to build a positive and trusting relationship with the client
- Able to reliably travel to Guildford
- Available for regular ongoing shifts
Female Support Workers are preferred due to the client's individual preferences.
Requirements
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle – required
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or equivalent) preferred
- Previous experience in aged care, disability, home care or community support preferred
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Australian working rights
