Waverley Council is looking for an experienced Senior Traffic / Transport Engineer to lead the delivery of traffic engineering, transport planning and road safety initiatives that improve how people move throughout our community.

About the Role
You'll lead and deliver a diverse range of projects, including:

Traffic engineering and transport planning
-
Road safety and Local Area Traffic Management (LATM)
-
Parking management and traffic control facilities
-
Active transport and mobility initiatives
-
Community and stakeholder engagement
-
Technical advice and reports for senior management and Council
-
Being at the forefront of managing the installation of share bike management systems
This is an opportunity to influence transport outcomes in one of the most dynamic local government areas. You’ll work on meaningful projects that improve road safety, active transport, parking and community while being supported by a forward-thinking team
About You
You'll have:
-
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
-
Extensive experience in traffic engineering, transport planning or traffic management
-
Knowledge of NSW Road Rules, TfNSW standards and Austroads guidelines
-
Experience with traffic engineering software such as SIDRA, VISSIM, AutoCAD and/or GIS
-
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project management skills
-
Current Class C Driver Licence
