Account Manager – Exhibitions
Displayd | Exhibitions & Event Solutions
Build your portfolio. Grow with the business. Make the role your own.
Displayd is a new and growing exhibitions business, and we’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Account Manager – Exhibitions to join us at an exciting stage of our growth.
This is more than an account management role. It’s an opportunity to build your own portfolio of clients, develop long-term industry relationships and grow your career as Displayd grows.
You’ll manage exhibition projects from the first conversation through to delivery, while actively developing new business and turning successful projects into lasting client relationships.
The Role
As Account Manager – Exhibitions, you’ll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of exhibition organisers, exhibitors, agencies and corporate clients.
You’ll be the key point of contact for your clients, taking ownership of their projects from initial enquiry and quotation through to planning, delivery and post-event follow-up.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and managing your own portfolio of exhibition clients
- Developing strong relationships with exhibition organisers, exhibitors, agencies, venues and corporate clients
- Responding to incoming enquiries, calls and new business opportunities
- Understanding client briefs and recommending suitable exhibition solutions
- Preparing proposals, quotations and client presentations
- Proactively following up enquiries and quotes to convert opportunities into confirmed projects
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Growing existing accounts and generating repeat business
- Managing projects from initial brief through to installation, event delivery and completion
- Coordinating exhibitor orders, furniture, displays, styling and custom requirements
- Reviewing floor plans, schedules, exhibitor manuals and venue requirements
- Managing project timelines, deadlines, access requirements, deliveries, installations and collections
- Maintaining accurate records across clients, projects, quotes, orders and events
- Monitoring project budgets and commercial outcomes
- Coordinating deposits, invoicing and outstanding payments
- Attending client meetings, site inspections and exhibitions as required
- Supporting key exhibition builds and installations when required
- Working closely with Design, Operations and Finance to ensure seamless project delivery
- Conducting post-event follow-ups and securing opportunities for future exhibitions
Build Your Own Portfolio
One of the biggest opportunities within this role is the ability to build something of your own within a growing business.
Rather than simply inheriting and maintaining an established account list, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your own network, establish relationships and grow a portfolio of clients that you can continue to develop over time.
We want someone who enjoys winning business but also understands the value of looking after clients exceptionally well.
Your success will come from turning a first enquiry into a successful exhibition, a successful exhibition into a repeat client, and a repeat client into a long-term relationship.
As your portfolio grows, we want your opportunity within Displayd to grow with it.
Business Development & Growth
You’ll play an important role in expanding Displayd’s presence within the exhibitions market.
This will include:
- Identifying upcoming exhibitions and potential opportunities
- Developing relationships with organisers and exhibitors
- Generating and qualifying new leads
- Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
- Converting enquiries into confirmed projects
- Developing repeat business from existing clients
- Proactively reconnecting with clients ahead of future exhibitions
- Identifying opportunities to increase the value of accounts
- Building relationships with venues, agencies and industry partners
- Representing Displayd professionally within the exhibitions industry
About You
We’re looking for someone who is commercial, organised, proactive and confident with clients.
You’ll enjoy the energy of the exhibitions industry and be comfortable balancing sales, account management and project delivery.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Experience in exhibitions, events, account management, sales, business development or event hire
- Strong client relationship and account management skills
- A genuine interest in developing new business
- Confidence following up leads and closing opportunities
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Confidence interpreting floor plans, schedules and event documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt when requirements change
- The ability to take ownership of your accounts and projects
- A collaborative approach when working with Design, Operations and Finance
- The ambition to grow your role as the business develops
Experience within exhibitions, custom stands, furniture hire, displays, styling or experiential events would be highly regarded.
