About the role:
We are now recruiting for various permanent part-time positions that involve working in our therapeutic homes for children aged 12–18 living in Out of Home Care on the
Central Coast.
You’ll participate in a 24/7 rotating roster (mornings, afternoons, nights, 3 sleepovers per fortnight). As part of your roster, you will also be required to work every 2nd weekend with your schedule provided 2 weeks in advance. We are offering a minimum of 60 hours per fortnight with an option to pick up extra shifts!
You will be involved in closely working with young people with complex needs, helping them heal, grow, and thrive through trauma-informed care and meaningful relationships. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or trauma is highly valued and will help you succeed in this role.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Cert III, IV or Diploma in Community Services or Youth Work (or willingness to enrol).
- Experience working with young people facing emotional, behavioural, or social challenges.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care.
- Ability to build trust, maintain boundaries, and use behaviour support strategies.
- Excellent report writing and safeguarding practices.
- Hold a valid NSW Driver’s Licence + comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Working With Children Check.
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
