Diesel Fitter – Kinvara Civil
Kinvara Civil, a growing civil construction company, is looking for a motivated and experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team. Kinvara Civil is a Sydney-based civil construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure and utility projects across New South Wales. We specialise in complex excavations, water, sewer, stormwater, and underground utility infrastructure, with extensive experience delivering works to Sydney Water standards and specifications.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy diesel plant and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs on-site as required.
- Conduct inspections to ensure plant and equipment are safe and operational.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Work closely with site teams to minimise equipment downtime.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or at least 3 years experience.
- Experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant and civil construction equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
- NSW White Card and valid Driver’s Licence.
- Previous experience within the civil construction industry is highly regarded.
