Working a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth, you’ll lead the site maintenance team responsible for keeping a substantial fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment safe, reliable and available to support project delivery.

About the role
As Workshop Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of the site maintenance team, ensuring the project’s fleet is maintained to high standards of safety, reliability and availability.
You’ll oversee planned and preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs while working closely with the construction team to prioritise maintenance activities and minimise equipment downtime.
The role will also see you monitor maintenance performance, workshop costs and productivity while providing strong leadership and direction to the maintenance crew.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the site maintenance team
- Plan and prioritise preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs
- Ensure plant and equipment is maintained to required safety, reliability and availability standards
- Work closely with the construction and production teams to prioritise maintenance requirements and minimise equipment downtime
- Monitor fleet performance and identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency and equipment availability
- Manage workshop and maintenance resources effectively
- Monitor and control maintenance and workshop costs
- Review and report on maintenance performance with a focus on efficiency and productivity
- Provide strong leadership, direction and support to maintenance personnel
- Ensure maintenance activities and documentation are completed to required standards
- Maintain a strong focus on safety across workshop and field maintenance activities
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Georgiou’s safety, quality and project requirements
Your skills and experience
- Australian recognised Heavy Duty Fitter / Plant Mechanic trade qualification
- Demonstrated experience supervising a heavy mobile plant maintenance team
- Strong experience maintaining CAT or similar heavy earthmoving equipment
- Proven experience across equipment including scrapers, dozers, graders, wheel loaders, excavators and trucks
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance, breakdown management and fleet availability
- Sound understanding of maintenance planning, productivity and workshop cost control
- Strong leadership and people management capability
- Ability to effectively prioritise maintenance requirements within a high-production construction environment
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
- Previous mining, FIFO or large-scale civil construction experience will be highly regarded
- Construction White Card
- Valid C Class driver’s licence, with HR licence highly regarded
