Community Housing Limited is seeking an experienced senior manager to lead commercial, contractual and performance oversight for CHL's Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). This newly created senior role will be responsible for maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders ensuring contractual reporting, compliance and performance obligations are met. The role will be responsible for Ground Lease Model (GLM1 and GLM2) housing portfolios in Victoria, including management of consortium relationships and long-term service performance requirements.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Melbourne, with location negotiable for the right person. It offers a competitive salary, superannuation, salary packaging and flexible working arrangements.
What you’ll do
As Senior Manager – Contract Management and Performance, you’ll actively manage contractual arrangements to protect CHL’s commercial position, manage risk and support stable, effective operational delivery aligned to CHL’s mission and objectives.
You’ll strengthen organisational resilience by:

Managing key contractual frameworks, including MSAs, service contracts and performance regimes.

Overseeing contract interpretation, variations, change events, claims and compensation events with Legal, Finance and operations.

Maintaining contract management tools, including obligations registers, compliance calendars, delegations and accountability maps.

Building performance frameworks, tracking outcomes and delivering clear insights to Executive, Board and external stakeholders.

Acting as CHL’s senior commercial and contractual lead for partners, government agencies and key stakeholders.

Leading governance forums, stakeholder meetings, negotiations and issue resolution to align performance, risk and outcomes.

Managing contractual, financial, operational and partner risks through strong governance, escalation and assurance processes.

Partnering with Finance on contract performance, budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, lifecycle costing and scenario planning.

Driving improvement and standardisation across SPVs to strengthen commercial outcomes, risk allocation and contract governance.
What You’ll Bring

10+ years’ senior experience in contract administration, commercial management and performance monitoring.

Strong commercial acumen across financial performance, budgets, service payments, cost pressures and variances.

Proven contract interpretation, negotiation and administration skills across complex partnership structures.

Experience in complex funding, capital structures and multi-stakeholder environments.

Ability to lead governance forums, resolve issues and advise senior stakeholders.
-
Clear communication skills, including executive reporting and practical contract insights.

Relevant tertiary qualifications; postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
