We are currently seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team supporting a participant in Ingleburn. This is a rewarding opportunity for support workers who are confident providing personal care and complex health-related supports while delivering person-centred care.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality support tailored to the participant's individual needs, promoting dignity, choice and independence.
This role involves working across a 24/7 roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Assisting with mobility and transfers
- Assisting with medication administration
- Monitoring participant wellbeing and reporting any concerns
- Supporting meal preparation, hydration and daily living activities
- Completing accurate progress notes and incident reports
- Building positive and professional relationships with the participant and their support network
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A valid P2 or Open driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
- Previous experience supporting people with disability, aged care or complex care needs
- Experience providing personal care and manual handling support
- Confidence working with participants who have high physical support needs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility to work a rotating 24/7 roster, including overnight shifts
- A compassionate, reliable and person-centred approach
