Our Branch
Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
Systems Services and Responses is part of the Service Design and Support directorate which provides the shared functions and support needed to provide better services to schools. System Services and Reponses provide coordination across corporate services and system responses for Statewide Services including supporting facilities planning and management of the Statewide Services Centre based in Padbury.

The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to provide high-level clerical and administrative support within Statewide Services. In this role, you will contribute to the effective delivery of services, projects and programs by supporting business operations and engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
This role is often the first point of contact for Statewide Services and plays a key role in reception and incoming communications and enquires. Suitable applicants will demonstrate a strong customer service focus and the ability to engage professionally and effectively with a broad range of stakeholders. You will have good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The successful applicant will provide broad administrative and business operations support including undertaking basic research, managing calendars and resource booking systems, assisting with data entry and service management processes and using advanced features in Microsoft products to prepare documents, spreadsheets, and reports.
You will monitor and manage branch electronic mailboxes and prepare, process and allocate incoming and outgoing correspondence including actioning routine matters or escalating requests as suitable, ensuring correspondence and records management protocols are followed. You may be required to support day to day business operations such as meeting and event support including preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes.
You will support budget management and financial administration through accounts processing, purchase card reconciliations and expenditure monitoring.
