We are currently seeking a passionate, skilled, and reliable Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items including:
- Woodfire and traditional pizzas
- Fresh pasta dishes
- Gourmet salads
- Italian mains and sides
- Desserts and sweet dishes
- Daily specials and seasonal menu items
- Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently to restaurant standards.
- Maintain high-quality food presentation and portion control.
- Assist in menu development and recipe improvement.
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen stations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Minimise food wastage and maintain cost efficiency.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
Teamwork & Service
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Handle busy service periods efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Support junior kitchen staff when required.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
Priority Skills & Experience
Essential Skills
- Strong experience in:
- Pizza preparation and cooking
- Pasta preparation and sauces
- Fresh salad preparation
- Dessert plating and preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to maintain consistency under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an Italian or modern Australian restaurant preferred.
- Commercial cookery qualification is highly regarded.
- Experience with woodfire ovens is an advantage.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Evening shift- From 4pm to 10pm.
Pay: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour
